About us
Helping people to help themselves
Projekte für Afrikahilfe (PfAH) is a non-profit organization that has set itself the goal of supporting people in need in southern Africa. The focus is particularly on women who are under particular pressure due to difficult living conditions, whether young or old.
Our approach is to improve the local infrastructure - for example by building groundwater wells - and to promote educational projects. These measures are intended not only to improve the quality of life, but also to promote the emancipation of women and open up new prospects for them.
Our particular concern is to support and empower women in southern Africa, especially in Zimbabwe, on their path to greater self-determination. We are convinced that education and an improved infrastructure can create a decisive basis for this.
Our areas of activity
We are active in the following areas of activity:
Emancipation of women
Our projects support women on their path to greater self-determination and independence.
Water projects
With our water projects, we enable access to clean water and relieve the burden on women in particular, who often spend a lot of time fetching water. At the same time, we contribute to food security.
Medical assistance
We endeavor to send medical supplies to Zimbabwe and provide emergency aid in the form of medical treatment, such as operations, visits to the doctor and home care.
Support for the needy
Our projects support people in need, especially older women living in difficult circumstances.
Our primary goal remains to provide direct and uncomplicated help for self-help.
