about us
Our aim is to use our projects to contribute to the self-determination of women in southern Africa, particularly in Zimbabwe. We can achieve this by improving infrastructure and educational opportunities.
People in many areas of Africa are so poor that they have to fight a daily battle for survival. Women are affected the most. Young women are exploited, whether as "marriageable objects" or cheap labor. Older women often lack support with nutrition and health issues after a hard life of work and family.
The non-profit organization "Projekte für Afrikahilfe" (PfAH) wants to actively support these women. Educational projects in a protected environment are intended to give abused or exploited girls and young women a new perspective. Through groundwater drilling, children, mostly girls, can be relieved of the arduous and often dangerous task of fetching water and can use the time gained to attend public school. We try to enable older and sick women to live as independently as possible with medical and practical aids such as visual aids, mobility aids and cooking aids. Our primary goal remains to provide direct and uncomplicated help for self-help. This is possible because we know the local situation inside out, are very well networked there and have many valuable contacts. To optimize our activities, PfAH has set up a trust in Zimbabwe under the name "Batsirai Kuti Vazvibatsire" (Helping People to Help Themselves).
Our vision
To provide direct and uncomplicated help for self-help in order to optimally promote the emancipation of women.
Our values
We are convinced that the emancipation of women is an important and decisive key to solving many African problems.
